New brochure published about our work

We are pleased to announce the release of our new brochure, presenting some of the Fund's achievements over the last 13 years.

Since 1997, our work has helped some of the most disadvantaged people around the world, and with the closure of the Fund just two and a half years away, we believe now is the perfect time to share our progress.

We were delighted to see the tireless efforts of our partners and grantees result in the signing of the Convention on Cluster Munitions in Oslo at the end of 2008. You can read about how our work supported the campaign on pages 24-29.

Another of the Fund's objectives is almost, we hope, in sight, with the new UK government's formal commitment to end the detention of children for immigration purposes. You can read more about how our work is supporting refugees and those seeking asylum on pages 14-19.

Turn to pages 8-13 to find out how our work is helping to ensure that palliative care is integrated into the care and treatment of the millions of children and adults currently living and dying from HIV/AIDS, cancers and other life-limiting illnesses in sub-Saharan Africa.

And to read about our efforts to promote fair treatment and better futures for women, children and young people in the criminal justice system, go to pages 20-23.
